Singapore Good Soil Foundation Partners with China Global Philanthropy Institute to Launch New Scholarship for Youth Changemakers
The Singapore Good Soil Foundation is proud to announce a new partnership with the China Global Philanthropy Institute (CGPI), one of China’s most visionary institutions. Established with the support of global philanthropists including Bill Gates and Jack Ma, CGPI was created to cultivate a new generation of philanthropic leaders and to promote impactful giving across China and the world. Today, it stands at the forefront of philanthropic research, education, and innovation in the region.
This collaboration marks a meaningful milestone for the Singapore Good Soil Foundation as we expand our reach across Asia to empower the next generation of changemakers. Our joint efforts with CGPI will focus on exploring how high technology and data-driven tools can advance philanthropic innovation, with a strong emphasis on youth education and social impact.
To commemorate CGPI’s 10th anniversary in April 2025, Faye Lo (EMP Class 2 / ELP2017) alumna and founder of the Singapore Good Soil Foundation, as well as the Founder of the Next Generation Philanthropy Leadership Program has jointly launched with CGPI a special scholarship: the CGPI Good Soil Fellow, Future Philanthropist Scholarship. This scholarship will support five outstanding youth from China, aged 14 to 18, to participate in the Next Generation Philanthropy Leadership Program held at Nanyang Business School, NTU Singapore. Candidates will be nominated by CGPI alumni and community members, and will be fully funded to take part in a five-day leadership summer camp that blends classroom learning, real-world exposure, and global dialogue.
This will mark the first time a China-based philanthropy institution establishes an overseas youth leadership program, and a key step in equipping young Chinese leaders to engage with global challenges. Through the scholarship, students will have the opportunity to interact with international faculty, CGPI researchers, and fellow youth leaders from around the world—bridging academic excellence with practical, values-driven leadership development.
We believe that when mission-aligned institutions collaborate, they can spark meaningful change. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to nurturing socially conscious youth leaders who will shape a more inclusive and compassionate future.
We look forward to sharing more as this partnership unfolds.
To cultivate the next generation of future philanthropists and social entrepreneurs, driven by a shared commitment to transforming lives and advancing the public good.
